Manuscripts is Butler University's undergraduate literary magazine. We publish students’ creative work annually—anything from poetry and short stories to photographs and paintings. We aim to showcase a variety of artists, a variety of art, and a variety of styles. Manuscripts is not only for English majors; anyone who is an undergraduate student at any Indiana university can submit their work. All are welcome and encouraged to submit!

Some submissions may be selected by students in Butler’s Editing class  for their final projects. If chosen, you’ll have the option to  collaborate with a student editor on your piece. This won’t guarantee  publication in Manuscripts, but it does mean a chance to sharpen your work and get the benefit of one-on-one editorial feedback.
